Muesli

(Easy and Quick Recipes for One)

  • 4 cups oats (I use the quick 1-minute oats)
  • 2 cups nuts and seeds (chopped walnuts, pecans, almonds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds etc.; any combination you like)
  • 1 cup dried fruit (raisins, chopped figs, dates, apricots, prunes etc.; any combination you like)
  • 1/4 cup flaxseed meal or wheat bran (optional)
  • 2 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • Brown sugar to taste (optional, the sweetness from the dried fruit is usually enough for me)
  • Serve in milk or yogurt

Combine the dry ingredients, store mix in airtight container. Scoop about 1/2 cup of the mix into a bowl and enjoy as cold cereal in milk, or stir into your favorite yogurt.
